One of the most enjoyable aspects of our jobs is seeing when our athletes that we work hard for every day are able to have success in their sport. In college athletics there is no higher achievement than the national championship which I was lucky enough to be part of with Indiana University last year. I will never forget the multiple thanks from athletes and the celebrations that day. Whenever there's a tough day on the job I can think back to that and remember why I love this job.

One of the most enjoyable times I can remember came while playing pranks on a supervisor’s office. One of the supervisors had recently received a package that contain a plethora of package peanuts, so in the spirit of good fun we decided to strategically place all the peanuts on as much of the other supervisor’s office as possible. We waited all day for them to show up and as the door opens and the peanuts fall out of the office it all became worth it.

One of the best parts of being a certified Athletic Trainer is the unpredictability of each day. Each day can present new challenges and a sense of appreciation. The ability to see an athlete return to the activity they love is rewarding.
